A Subway Stop with Speakeasy Vibes
“Nothing Really Matters” is a bar tucked away inside the downtown entrance to the 50th Street 1 train (50th St. and Broadway).
What starts out as a somewhat sketchy looking endeavor turns into a classy/moody (and clean) drinking experience featuring a backlit bar, dim neon lights, glitter wallpaper (in the bathroom), a disco ball, good music, cool cocktails, and great staff.
There’s a live DJ on certain nights and it can get loud in there so just follow the music.
TIPS:
- Try the cold brew espresso martini 👌
- I tend to go on weekdays when it’s not crowded, but on a Friday night for example, you can book a reservation on Resy.
- Another NYC Subway Speakeasy option = “La Noxe” (28th Street stop of the 1 train line; Entrance at southeast corner of 28th Street and Seventh Avenue). Knock twice on the black door.
HOURS:
Mon - Sat: 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Closed on Sundays
