🕯️ The carpet is leopard print, the stools are red plush velvet, and the lights are candles and chandeliers. The aesthetic at The Nines in NoHo is nothing short of glamorous. Styled after romantic, old-school piano bars, The Nines offers cocktails and fancy cocktails to match the tunes of classy jazz. 🎶 Reservations are a must for the main room, but may be able to walk-in for the tables in the parlor. Entry is $45 for the main room from Sunday to Tuesday where live Jazz bands play from 7 to 11 PM. 🥩 The menu is rich with elevated options like caviar, Wagyu beef, foie gras, and tuna tartare. There is lighter fare including duck fat pomme frites for my friend and regular fries for me. As for drinks I had their namesake cocktail The Nines (blanco tequila, passion fruit, lime, aperol) and a classic low proof French 75 (gin, bergamot, lemongrass, sparkling wine). Bar snacks like olives and popcorn and crisps are complimentary with drinks. 🎺 The Nines was at par for what I expected from piano bars in the city but didn’t blow me away. The dress code was not enforced for a ticketed main room event. It is out of their control, but if I have to pay $45 for entry, I should not have to see another finance bro in dirty new balance sneakers and a tech vest. Have some self respect!
