Glowbar opened a new location in Jersey City in the former building where Ample Hills Creamery was (200 Greene Street)! I was excited about their marketing, 30-minute custom facials?” SIGN ME UP! Since I was driving, I already knew to leave at least 30 minutes for parking since it can be rough in this area. There is a parking lot directly across from Glowbar but it’s pretty pricy; $11.45 for 1 hour 🫠. Finding street parking is ideal since it’s a bit cheaper or if you can take the light rail to the Harborside stop, it’ll leave you down the block plus it saves on money. Check-in was seamlessly smooth as I spoke to the host at the front desk but if there isn’t anyone there you can also check in on the tablets as well. Once checked in, I was instructed to wash my face at the wash bar with cleanser. Don’t worry, there is hand soap as well. They also provide towels to dry your face. Once I was done, I sat in the waiting area until my esthetician walked over and called my name. What I love is how they briefly get to know your skin routine, what products you use, your skin type, etc. just so they know how to treat you. My concern were blackheads on my nose which she was able to get right out! The entire experience from beginning to end was amazing. Since every facial is custom I’m not going to get too into detail on mine but you’re definitely going to love the warm towels on your face to open up those pores, face massage and extractions (if needed). At the end, my esthetician suggested products based on what she’s seen and a couple tips/tricks. They do a great job at target treatments for sure.
