I checked out the Butterfly Vivarium at the Museum of Natural History, and honestly, it felt like stepping into a little pocket of calm right in the middle of the city. The space is warm and full of plants, and butterflies are just fluttering everywhere—some even land on you if you’re still enough. It was peaceful and kind of magical. I loved that it wasn’t just pretty; it was also informative in a low-key way. There were signs about the butterfly life cycle and conservation, but nothing felt overwhelming or too “science class.” It’s not a huge exhibit, but it really makes you slow down and take it all in. Whether you’re going with kids, a date, or even by yourself, it’s a really beautiful, calming experience. Definitely glad I went.
