Visit the Yuengling Factory in Pottsville Pennsylvania and take a free one hour tour of the factory. The tour explores the entire factory from the cave under the factory, you can see where the factory used to draw their water from the nearby mountains. You will walk through the factory to view all the fermentation tanks and the bottling room and talk about the history of the oldest brewery in America which opened in 1829. The factory still operates today and you will see the beer being bottled during the tour if you go before 2pm. The tour ends with two decent sized complimentary samples of your choice of beer, they even have birch beer for those who don’t want or can’t have alcohol. The gift shop is even fun with lots of memorabilia display, lots of branded merchandise, great prices on beer, and even a beer barrel fitting room to try on your souvenir shirt!
