Lunar New Year is coming up, so I wanted to highlight Stanley’s Claw Machine located in Chinatown! The space is small but cozy, and the owner, Clement, is always around helping his staff and talking to customers. 🧸 Clement said that he originally opened Stanley’s for his son who would feel frustrated at arcade games; he wanted this space to be an uplifting experience for families! And I think the store achieves that. It felt comfortable, and there was definitely no pressure to play any games; some visitors just stopped by to say hello and see the different offerings. 🪙 Staff members also give “tips” on how to get the toy you want! I was eyeing one of the onigiri and one of the staff was very nice in explaining how to use the claw strategically to grab the one I was aiming for! 🕹️ If you’re in the neighborhood for New Year festivities, treat yourself to a nostalgic game at Stanley’s!
