Library After Hours at the NYPL’s Stephen A. Schwarzman Building turns the iconic space into a lively evening venue with themed programming, live music, performances, and art activities. Attendees can explore exhibits, enjoy refreshments, and experience the library in a new light.
Earlier this year, I attended the PRIDE Library After Hours and had a wonderful time dancing in the main hall, completing puzzles in quiet outcoves, and getting tailored book recommendations from librarians!
The final event of the year will celebrate James Baldwin’s life and legacy; there will be after-hours access to the Rose Main Reading Room, live readings and music, rare 16mm films, and displays on Baldwin’s career, including never-before-seen materials.
