this weekend, we stumbled upon bryant park’s first-ever and free circus festival!! it was so fun to see the acts perform and made for a perfect family event; we only caught the latter half but got to see a variety of talented performers and circus artists showcasing soaring aerial performances, acrobatics, and more! my personal favorite was the aerial aerobic artist <3 the event was curated by monique martin, as part of the bryant park picnic performances! as with all performances/summer events at the park, if you manage to show up early, free blankets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis! the park was quite packed when we arrived but we managed to get decent spots on the side of the stage. the bryant park picnic performances by bank of america is a free outdoor festival that welcomes all to experience the city’s vibrant arts and culture. the series provides a platform for extraordinary artists and serves as a vital outdoor venue for a wide array of new yorks’s cultural institutions. having this inaugural circus performance definitely was a perfect way to celebrate the near ending of summer!! bryantpark summer performance circus
