Ever Tried a Dessert Prix Fixe? Patisserie Tomoko is the one
I stumbled upon Patisserie Tomoko while wandering around Williamsburg. While the shop is small, there is a small line extending outside the store that made me decide to give it a try. I was a bit hesitant to try their dessert prix fixe menu since I have never had a dessert-focused tasting before, but I’m so glad I tried. The experience was beautifully crafted from start to finish. The menu includes a small starter, a main dessert of your choice, and a selection of petite fours to finish. I chose the Satsumaimo as my main: a Japanese sweet potato custard with pecan meringue, baked apple, and caramel nut ice cream. Every element was delicate, thoughtful, and perfectly balanced, and not overbearing. Each dish is amazing and wowed us. The open kitchen added to the experience—I love watching the dessert chef work with such precision. It is definitely one of the best desserts I have ever had in New York and would definitely come back in the future!
