Located inside Better Day’s JC, 143 Social is a speakeasy serving up craft cocktails and small plates in a cozy space. When I visited, there was a DJ and the vibes were SET. They have booth seating towards the wall with stools facing towards the booths and there’s tables for slightly larger parties. At 143, the cocktails are not like any other bar in the area. For example, their “Number Fifty-One” is made with Lunazul Star anise tequila, Cynar Amaro 70 proof, blood orange agave, lemon, and cacao bitters. Each cocktail averages around $20 and they have wine, beer, and mocktails. Definitely recommend making a reservation as it was pretty busy when I visited on a Saturday night.
