Hallyu Korean BBQ & Karaoke in Tamarac
Hallyu Korean BBQ is a trending place for Korean barbecue and karaoke in east Tamarac, and I can totally see why. Hallyu is rated 4.5/5 on Yelp (175 reviews) and I would recommend it to locals.
Hallyu offers a few different Korean BBQ menu plans, and my table chose the basic level at $35 per person. My favorite meat we cooked was a thin sliced beef brisket, and some other people at my table said their favorite was a marinated chicken. The beef bulgogi was also tasty. We agree the shrimp was our least favorite because the shrimp was small and we were left to peel them with our hands having been given few napkins at the beginning. I was impressed by the tasty sauces they gave us, the rice they gave was cooked well, and the banchan was good.
The strawberry bingsoo dessert (pictured) was large and therefore great for sharing. This shaved frozen milk dessert with mochi wasn’t for me because I personally found the flavor to taste medicinal, but people at my table liked it.
I feel like 75% of the songs playing were K-pop and the others were American. I would recommend this experience for adults and not children.
No word yet on how good the karaoke system is, but I’ll make a post about it if/when I try it. 😊
*Would* I go again? Hypothetically yes, but realistically no; I enjoyed the food and the experience, but I like trying new places, and I’ve yet to try the Korean BBQ at Gabose or ROK located five minutes south of here.
