Merai always has an amazing lineup of Thai food and drinks, but today Phaeng and Phiu brought a Lao food inspired menu to the table - and wow did it exceed expectations 🤯 the nam khao salad was a personal standout, 11/10 with crispy rice and just the right amount of spice. the fried coconut ice cream was also amazingggg and had the perfect crunch-to-creamy ratio. the sai ua sliders and tigers tears steak were also deliciously spicy, sweet, and paired with the most amazing sauces. we also had a pandan espresso martini type cocktail, which was soo smooth it was hard not to down it in one gulp 🤤 so far they’ve done a popup at rubato hk cafe and merai, so if this duo does another popup around boston be sure to catch them for a deliciously spicy tasting experience !!
