Take a tour of City Hall where you get a direct ride up to the observation deck! The deck provides a 360 panoramic view of Philadelphia right from the heart of the city. There are two different tour, one of the actual city hall building + observation deck and one that is just the observation deck. I only did the tower tour which was $11 for a student ticket purchased online, and I believe $16 for a regular adult ticket. You can also buy tickets at the visitor's center. The whole tour lasted about an hour, mostly due to having to wait for the elevator up to the top. The deck itself is a bit tight, but the view makes up for it. I wish we got to stay up there a bit longer, it was only about 5 of 7 minutes before we were ushered down. The tour is only available on weekdays, probably because it would be too packed to have it as a weekend thing, so if you have free time during a sunny day during the week I would highly recommend this experience. I am for sure going back for the complete tour, at the time of purchasing the ticket I was not aware that there were two different ones. Overall a 4/5 for a nice little solo date in the city.
