Bored? Board Games abound at Hex & Co 🎲
🎲It’s still 14° outside and you might be going stir crazy holed up alone in your apartment. With 3 locations in Manhattan, you’re a 20 sided dice roll away from Hex & Co, a board gaming cafe perfect for dreary days like this. 👾Before moving here, board games were my new pandemic hobby (and eventually my part time job) and refuge from staying home alone. With its vast selection, the board game library at Hex & Co. has something for everyone from non competitive novice players looking for an escape to seasoned Lvl. 20 Rogue Elves dedicated to tabletop RPGs. At $15/player and a full bar and cafe menu is great for lowkey nights ‘in.’ 🧩If you’re planning for a weekend visit, be sure to make a reservation online as Saturdays and Sundays are its peak times. For those new to board games, there are plenty of your classic Chess, Clue, and Mousetraps. I find cooperative games to be the best for new groups so a few of my favorites I found were: 🦏 Rhino Hero: an easy card drawing and stacking game where you play animal superheroes that love to stay on top of precariously built apartment building. 🧟 Good Dog, Bad Zombie: a pick-up-and-deliver co-op where everyone plays together as a heroic dog pack in a post-Zombie apocalyptic city to save humans and bite zombies all while resisting the urge to become feral again. 🚀 Space Team: a fast paced and shouty draw-and-pass card game where you work together to repair your ever-faulty spaceship in under 5 minutes.
