    Date Night Dinner River Cruise
City Cruises Chicago offers a premier dinner cruise from an elegant glass enclosed boat. Guests will enjoy unblocked views of skyscrapers right from their table. The sights are breathtaking. On the day we cruised, we witnessed marriage proposals along with people celebrating birthdays. I highly recommend this cruise for both locals and tourists because it’s truly special. The Odyssey Chicago River boat departs from the riverwalk esplanade, just south of the NBC Tower. It’s easy to find, simply walk down the stairs from the Cityfront Plaza roundabout. The cruise lasts 2.5 hours. It travels as far north as the old Greyhound Terminal (now just rubble and home to seagulls), south to Chinatown, and east to the river locks. It’s a peaceful cruise especially in the winter. I loved that there was minimal boat traffic. I did see a couple of boat rentals but with the 20 degree weather I’m sure they were freezing. The Odyssey was nice & warm with its cabin controlled temp. We also had outdoor access to the front and back deck for great photo opportunities. There’s a full cash bar available and a photographer to capture your special moment, along with a dj who keeps the party moving. Cruisers actually started dancing, after dinner. The cruise includes a premium 3 course menu, where diners can choose their dishes. I was really impressed with the food. Chef knocked it out of the park. I’m going to honestly say this was one of the best dinner cruise meals I’ve ever had. Bravo to the chef and team on a perfect dinner execution. I highly recommend this romantic cruise. It’s perfect for date night.
