We tried out trivia at One Star Bar last Saturday— it starts at 7:30pm and was sooo lively and packed! When we got there we head straight to the back of the bar where they have a huge room with tables for trivia, and were able to easily snag seats. Luckily, unlike most places there’s no purchase minimum or cover for your team to join, you just go up to the announcer and they distribute your answer sheets. Everyone participating is really high encouraged to purchase something though so of course I supported this wonderful business full of the friendliest people. This place is a great friendly environment that’s welcoming and both approachable for trivia first timers but also *SO* competitive, challenging and interesting enough for hardcore trivia fans. I really liked also how the rounds were all themed or different, like a visual round with pictures, an audio round, one on current events, and association challenges— which kept it interesting for the 2 to 2.5 hour time frame (yeah, it was long!) Definitely don’t discouraged if it’s difficult, apparently Jeopardy winners and trivia tournament winners frequent this trivia night too! There was a kebab restaurant called Memo right nearby that we stopped by and grabbed for dinner, the Mixed Grill for two was only $31!
