My roommate and I went to see A Drag Comedy Show from Lady Bushra at a local café called NBHD. She was hilarious! She has a great sense of timing and wit when it comes to improvised comedy and loved hearing her perspective as a South Asian from Bradford. She invited me up and fully read me and it was honestly wonderful. It sounded like she does other gigs in the city and also plans to come back to this café; we definitely recommend you check her out. The venue itself was all right. They did not check anyone’s tickets and live-streamed a lot of it. It also said one drink minimum but I also don’t think that was enforced. My Jamaican sangria was delicious, but my roommate’s tater tots were very bland. Probably just good to know that they are not very strict about events there, which wasn’t a problem for me but could be stress-inducing for very by-the-book people.
