    Little Ruby’s + Welch’s pop-up event (until Jan 26)
Tonight was such a fun evening! We started with dinner at **Little Ruby’s** in the West Village, and let me tell you, the food was phenomenal. Everything came out super quickly, which was impressive considering how packed the place was. We each ordered a different pasta, and it was hard to pick a favorite just based on looks. I went with the creamy chicken rigatoni, which was rich, decadent, and comforting—no tomato, just pure creamy goodness. My boyfriend chose the spicy Italian sausage rigatoni, which had just the right kick to it, and our friend opted for Ruby’s Ragu. That dish featured slow-braised beef short rib over pappardelle and looked so hearty and satisfying. We couldn’t resist getting something for the table, so we shared the truffle fries with aioli—crispy, golden perfection. To drink, I went for a non-alcoholic pineapple cucumber spritz, which was light and refreshing, a perfect pairing for the meal. After dinner, we decided to take a short 10-minute stroll to the **Welch’s Pop-Up** at 9 W 8th St. We arrived a little after 7, just as they were winding down for the night (the event ended at 8), so unfortunately, many of their goodies were already gone. That said, the staff was super kind—they handed us reusable gift bags with sticker sheets inside, which was a sweet touch. Plus, they took our photo with their camera, and the picture came out with the Welch’s logo on it, making it a fun little keepsake. The pop-up also had a hidden speakeasy in a separate room, and of course, we had to check it out. The vibe was cozy and intimate, and while the “cocktails” they offered were just Welch’s juices in fancy glasses, it was such a cute and playful touch. We tried their passion fruit and strawberry drinks, and even though they were non-alcoholic, the presentation made them feel so special. We couldn’t help but laugh at how over-the-top it felt for juice, but it added a whimsical end to the evening.
