I'm tired of gatekeeping, get to Kungfu Hotpot in Philly's Chinatown! I found this place randomly with my boyfriend a few years ago and it feels like a hidden gem that only we know about. They are located in the heart of Chinatown, and you have to take an elevator up to the third floor to get there. 💸Expect to spend around $50 per person, including taxes and tip. This may seem like a lot, but it's all you can eat, including beef, seafood, chicken, pork, and more. There's also 2 special items that you can choose, like lobster, scallops, wagyu beef, clams, and even bullfrog (some are seasonal). It's totally worth the money and the service is great! Better than a buffet imo. 🥘There are a few broths to choose from like beef, pork, and tomato. There's lots of meat and seafood to cook like beef and pork belly, prime rib eye beef, chicken, lamb, tripe, and more. Seafood includes shrimp, crab sticks, blue crab, and (my personal favorite!) raw salmon sashimi. A short walk away is the self-serve section, where there is a fridge full of drinks, sauce bar, vegetable station, dry noodles, and small dessert section. The drink selection is so fun, as they have asian sodas and juices. 📲Your party is given an iPad to order from which is so convenient compared to having to tell your server every time. It beats having to wave down your server every 10 minutes for sure. The iPad is used to order all of your meats and seafood. You also select what broth you want on here. Plus, they have housemade noodles you can order! 🤭Concluding, this place is my fav place in Philly to treat myself. The only downside is that they don't have bean sprouts, which is a necessity for me when eating hotpot, but the abundance of other foods and drinks make up for the lack of bean sprouts.
