The Met is opened on Friday and Saturday until 9 PM so you can explore the museum, buy some drinks and enjoy live music. Visiting in the evening feels more intimate since there are fewer people. It almost feels like you’re walking around some philanthropist’s private collection. I would recommend the Egyptian wing at night, it felt like the movie “night at the museum” (although that takes place in the AMNH)
