I’m all about birthday freebies, though I didn’t collect as many this year as I’d hoped being a January baby. My first stop of the day was Liberty Bagels. I went to their FiDi location, showed my ID, and was treated to a rainbow bagel with birthday cake cream cheese. It was amazing—not too sweet, and just the right amount of cream cheese (I find when there’s too much, it can get messy and overpowering). The bagel was fresh, soft, and perfectly delicious. Next, I swung by Sephora and scored the *Juliet Has a Gun* perfume set, one of my favorites. This was my top pick, so I was pretty excited about this. Krispy Kreme also gives three original glazed if you sign up with them and I have yet to collect mine since they give you until a month after to collect it. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to get my Starbucks birthday treat this year—apparently, using the app on NYE didn’t count for the freebie, since it wasn’t technically from that year. I also passed on a free classic cupcake from Magnolia Bakery at Hudson Yards. While it was a nice gesture, I couldn’t justify the trip, especially considering in the past I’ve gotten $20 gift cards to use at any store, like the one I spent at H&M.
