I’ve been meaning to take this class for over a year now, and finally did it. I signed up for a month-long sewing class at Soul Selections, where I made a pin cushion and oven mitt that I’ve been using a lot! Don’t inspect too closely- I’m still learning! The class was really fun- everyone in the class as well as Shannon the teacher and the multiple volunteers that supported made the vibes perfection. It felt very low stakes, and like we were all in it together as we learned lessons through making mistakes. I can now thread a sewing machine, change feet on the machine, cut and pin patterns, sew straight and curved lines, and do some basic construction. I’m planning to do the intermediate level soon
