A couple girlfriends and I took MetroNorth up to Beacon for a Saturday to go apple picking at Fishkill Farms! It was a quick Uber ride away after about 1.5 hour train ride from the city. You reserve a slot ahead of time, and it’s $58 for up to five people for a 1 half-bushel bag (plenty for the group). They have rows and rows of apple trees, and good signage for the varieties and what is already picked. The apples were all so fresh and juicy, can’t compare to what you get at the grocery store. We didn’t partake, but there are tractor rides, corn mazes, a lot of food and drink vendors, and more. I wanted to get Apple cider donuts but the line was too long. Still a really fun day to experience fall festivities!
