The Strand is one of my favorite bookstores in New York and I recommend it to visitors if they are looking for cute, unique New York souvenirs. They have a “Blind Date with a Book” section with enticing titles and impressive cover art! I love cookbooks, and often browse for their out of print Strand specials. This visit I got old James Beard, Union Square Cafe, and Marcus Samuelsson cookbooks, each $10-12. They have such cool finds for all different types of readers.
