Meximodo is a New Mexican restaurant in downtown Metuchen. It has a really great ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating. I also noticed a second floor lounge that our waitress told us is reserved for private parties. The service here was excellent. After ordering we were given tortillas with a variety of salsas, ranging from mild to hot. We ordered the guac, which was the only let down for me because it was doused in some kinda truffle oil. If you’re into that sort of thing, you’d probably like it. We also ordered a passion fruit marg and a frozen watermelon marg, both were incredible. We got steak and cheese tacos and shrimp tacos and really enjoyed both entrees. The tab came out to just under $100 before tip which we thought was very fair for the ambiance, service, and food quality. Definitely check this place out if you find yourself in the area!
