I Tried the Philippines’ Most Popular Fast Food
The first Jollibee in South Florida came to Pembroke Pines in Broward County. It is west of the Fort Lauderdale International Airport.
There’s a life size Jollibee bee statue at the front, perfect for photo ops. We parked easily at an uncovered parking lot for free. There was a small line to order when we walked in the door. I was one of the only white people there, which wasn’t surprising. While we were waiting on food, a group of Filipinos invited my boyfriend to their local church. It’s because he is Filipino. I wasn’t invited lol.
I enjoyed the Jollibee restaurant experience for its novelty, but I am not likely to go out of my way to eat there a second time. My born-in-Florida Filipino boyfriend feels similarly.
I recommend getting the Jollibee app and checking for coupons to save a little bit of money.
