Island Spa & Sauna in New Jersey Edison
Lots of people have a hard time deciding which spa to go:
(1) Island Spa & Sauna
(2) Sojo Spa
Sojo Spa has outdoor pools, is bigger, quiet corners with good water views to relax, meditate, or work. But, it’s a lot more expensive.
Island Spa is completely indoors, the price is more affordable, and it has much better food options inside. For the price, I bought the 10-times pass during a holiday, so I was able to secure my ticket price to be $28 each time.
I only tried the massage service in island spa, so I cannot compare about that between these two. But I enjoyed the massage in island spa a lot! I loved the Swedish full body massage, and I liked that I could choose the gender of the master. Both spas have similar number of saunas to choose from. The bath pools within the female room also have similar number of temperature options.
Now specifics about the island spa:
(1) need to make appointment beforehand in order to make sure the massager is available when you come
(2) there are discounts on Groupon to get slightly cheaper admission tickets
(3) no need to bring towels or water, they have unlimited supplies of those inside
(4) wonderful food options, especially loves their dessert bar (see my first photo as an example food!)
(5) there’s free WiFi!
(6) the common area is at the maximum capacity on holidays or on some weekend, can be a little noisy, can be hard to find seats for a group to sit together and talk sometimes. And since it’s indoors, there’s not a lot of view to look at. I always bring board games to play with my friends when I am there! I would call the spa to check if they are busy before I go!
(7) so many good authentic Asian restaurants and there’s a big H mart in the same plaza where the spa is.
(8) free self-service parking, a lot of parking space.
(9) Have fun!!’
