Affordable Korean Spa in Midtown
I’ve been trying to find a Korean spa that is comparable to Wi Spa in Los Angeles, and while nothing in NYC will ever be as expansive, this experience comes pretty close.
You start by getting a key bracelet that opens your locker, and keeps track of anything you might spend while in the spa. You are given a uniform to wear in the coed areas of the spa, which includes the cafeteria area and all the dry saunas. There are a total of three dry saunas, the salt cave, a red clay sauna and a hot stone igloo of sorts. They are not huge, but it wasn’t super crowded when I went in a Sunday afternoon, so I didn’t have any trouble. There is also a red clay sleeping room in this area, and a bunch of tables for eating/playing one of the many board games provided.
The food is very classic Korean food. It’s not super cheap but very reasonable as far as spa food goes, not to mention delicious.
Nudity is required in the gendered bathing areas which include a steam room, jacuzzi and showers. The body scrubs are done in this area as well.
The Spa was very well maintained and very clean, which considering shoes are not allowed, is a great thing. They are currently having a first anniversary sale through April 25th, where you can get half off the cost of admission, making this experience more than worth it!
