comedy cellar reservations can be hard to get! they are often sold out months in advance (mainly the OG location on MacDougal street). in order to get stand by tickets, make sure to line up for the walk in list at least an hour before the show. (for example for the 8:45pm show, they’ll start taking names at 7:45). however, we started lining up at around 7:10 and we were first in line. they only take 40 names per show. afterwards, you can hang out in the area until showtime. once everyone with a reservation enters, they will call out names for walk ins for whatever spaces they have left. for this saturday night show, they probably let in 10 or so people off the standby list. probably much easier on a weekday! we had such a great time! $25 cover on saturdays, with a 2 item minimum (items around $10-20)
