Governor’s Island Free Ferry Before Noon⛴
Living in New York City is an absolute delight, especially when I stumble upon something fun and free to do😄! And it also could be so upset when I spent 8 bucks on something that was actually supposed to be free😢! Me and my friend, we spent $8 buying 2 ferry tickets to Governor’s Island, and it turned out that it was free on weekends before noon(lesson learned: always do your research). BTW if you are an IDNYC holder, it is free all the time😎. But there's something else about New York that I absolutely love, and it's a bit unconventional. The stuff there don't always check your tickets, even on weekdays. It may be easy to avoid paying, but still they choose to trust everyone. It's like this unspoken understanding, this unspoken trust that exists between us, which warms my heart ❤. The ferry was so great, clean and spacious. It only took 5 minutes to get Governor’s Island, and provided an amazing view of NYC skyline, and the Statue of Liberty🗽.(I've never been to Staten Island because there are always a lot of tourists, and it's so annoying to wait in line). Speaking of which, if you're into photography, this would be a perfect spot to get some dope shots, but don’t forget to check the weather before you go. 📍 10 South St Slip 7 (right next to the State Island Ferry) 📌 $4 for a round trip, you can get the tickets online, or at the ferry station. Check the timetable on the official website Ferry | Governors Island (en-US) before you go!
