I love languages and have always been looking for a community to practice my French. That’s when I stumbled upon this New York Public Library group: Mercredi français - Advanced French Conversation Group! It’s absolutely free to join, and they gather every Wednesday at 2PM at the 53rd street NYPL. It’s absolutely lovely, the group starts with a question for everyone, then we separate into smaller sections. It’s really wonder to practice, listen and get talking. Everyone is also wonderfully kind in an environment that you allow yourself to try to speak the new language. The group isn’t very…young but I personally love that, so I hope you do too! How do you sign up? You can see the event on NYPL website, but essentially just show up! And of course because of work, I can’t always join and that’s also okay. I went once this summer and then again today, so it’s very low-key and low-commitment! Hope I get to meet some S’moreans there!
