Free Tea Tasting at Harney & Sons SoHo
If you find yourself craving a nice hot cup of tea while in SoHo, I highly recommend stopping by Harney & Sons to try some of their blends!
They have a tea tasting counter that features two teas at a time picked by their lovely baristas that you are able to sample! Once you’ve tried the prebrewed samples, you can search the menu to find your next (full sized) cup of tea. The barista recommended I try Provence which was a white tea with apricot, lemon, and lavender and it was right up my alley! This is the limit to the free tasting but you can try as many teas at the tasting bar as you desire for $3 a cup.
After finishing my free samples, I headed over to the cafe in the back and ordered a tasting flight and some vanilla scones. The scones were to DIE for and the cream and jam that they came with suited them perfectly. Once again, I went with a recommendation from a staff member and ordered the “Cocktail and Spirit” flight (sorry to disappoint but these teas are non-alcoholic and each inspired by certain drinks). This was another stellar suggestion and I’m planning on grabbing Venetian Tiramisu and Raspberry Mojito once I finish the tea I have at home. The flight, scones, and tip ran me around $25 but there is also an option on the menu for a pot of tea and scones for $11.50!
Overall, I had a wonderful afternoon here and I’m looking forward to stopping by again!
