You can pull up to the elixir bar at alchemist kitchen and tell them your ailments (eg poor digestion, pain in neck etc etc) and they’ll make you a custom blend of tea and herbs for you from the beautiful corner in the 1st pic. The alchemist kitchen next door has many herbs, holistic and natural remedies and they also host workshops. Super cool spot I recently stumbled upon and definitely check it out if you’re looking for more holistic and natural remedies 🍃 plus it’s such a beautiful space to pop by, hang out and take a break from busy nyc....More

I had been following Anima Mundi online for years and I remember when the Alchemist’s Kitchen opened up shop in the late 2010s. It was certainly the chicest apothecary in the city. I’ve visited the Elixir Bar handful of times and I try something new every time. This time I tried Jahmu Golden Mylk with an oat mylk base. It was, of course, delicious although I will say that if you get the Ayurvedic Cacao, it is a very strong cacao taste. If you don’t like the bitterness of pure cacao or dark chocolate, it’s not for you. I will also add that if you get one of the wellness shots, it’s not like a wheatgrass or ginger shot. It’s very literally inside alcohol, I believe mezcal if memory serves. I didn’t know this when I got the Clarity shot at 11 AM on a weekday and ended up literally spitting it out because guess what! I’m sober! I would advise those who do not consume alcohol to steer clear of that part of the menu, and if you’re allergic or in recovery (like me), steer clear of the essences which are made using alcohol (like most but not all essences). Luckily you have plenty of other amazing options and you can also get those powders to add to your own beverages or foods at home. I can’t speak highly enough about the Brain Powder which you can buy from the botanical dispensary. It helped get me through the final year of my BFA at Hunter. In my opinion, it’s not an effective replacement for my ADHD meds (I LOVE Stratera… ask me about it if you want) but it definitely helps and it never hurts to take preemptive of your brain. They also sell divination tools like tarot decks, balms, sprays, books, and more. I haven’t been to any of their events but I look forward to the day that I do. It’s a clean, cute, and relatively quiet place to get some work done if you’re a WFH hunny and it’s in my favorite neighborhood, so there’s a lot to love. ⭐️: 4/5 📍: 117 Crosby Street in SoHo (off the Broadway-Lafayette BDFM or 6)...More
