Slow Space is a NYC based community with a mission to help people slow down, be present, and get connected to themselves.
Over the last few years of my life, Iโve found a lot of joy and healing through mindful, intentional self-work. And after an especially difficult year leading to a major burnout, I found the need to slow down and seek greater alignment in my life.
All of this inspired me to create safe spaces for others to explore their authentic selves and find connection.
Since 2023 Iโve been hosting workshops centered around play and self-exploration, often through arts and craft. While play and creativity is at the heart of my events, I also try to weave in different self-reflection, inner child prompts, and mindfulness exercises to deepen the experience.
I love making an impact, whether itโs giving someone something fun to look forward to, creating a positive highlight in their day, offering a space for self-reflection, or empowering others.
Thanks for reading this, I hope to connect with you soon ๐ซถ๐ป

I didn't know what to expect when starting this back in June 2023, but over time, it has shown me so much about what it means to bring people together.
These are some words that came up in some of my conversations that I think well reflects the journey I've been on personally this last year as well as the kind of space I try to foster through SlowSpace:
- play
- self-acceptance
- collective energy
- human connection
- intuition
- exploration
- softness
- joy
- slowing down
Thank you to every single person who has ever supported this community. I hope no matter how big or little, you are able to receive something through these events.

Iโve never made a Zine before but @staela and the community were so warm and welcoming. And there were so many materials to work with! Definitely coming back to learn new crafts. ...More

One of my fav workshops from last year that I definitely will be bringing back at some point!
I had different prompts for everyone to tap into their inner child and asked them to create a zine with it. This is one of the many ways I love to get people connected to themselves and express their inner world โจ

I had such a fun time with @staela during Slow Spaceโs Zine workshop! I learned a technique I didnโt know before, that Iโve used at least 2x since. It was such a cool way to think about and heal my inner child while making something cute and being in a space of their welcoming crafty people! Highly recommended ...More
