welcome to red string collective - an nyc-based project working to connect local businesses with local people and celebrate the invisible string that connects us all ๐
this was the first event i ever hosted as red string collective after working in a different supper club for the past year - i hosted a dinner party at my favorite vintage store in all of nyc, yesterdayโs news in carroll gardens, brooklyn!
i think of this evening often - the โfirst-dayโ jitters were absolutely present even after the countless events iโve hosted in the past. i cannot even begin to tell you how beautiful this evening was. we laughed until we cried. we ate to our hearts content. this is what red string collective is all about โฅ๏ธ

hi friends! iโm frankie, the founder of red string collective ๐
red string collective is a nyc-based project working to connect local businesses with local people and celebrate the invisible string that connects us all.
coming from a very close italian family, i have always been food and community obsessed. three of my four grandparents are immigrants from the abruzzi region of italy, and i am so proud of where i came from.
my family is full of mushroom farmers, bakers, and restaurant owners โ so our family parties were a feast for the eyes, belly, and soul. we fed anyone and everyone, sometimes the entire neighborhood, because โthatโs what you doโ.
i've carried this mentality throughout my life - i moved to nyc in 2015 for fashion school and was known as โthe hostess with the mostessโ amongst my friends, serving anything and everything in my fridge and pantry to anyone who entered my 400 square foot apartment in astoria, queens.
on february 16th 2023, i tweeted "i wanna throw dinner parties for people i don't know :("
this tweet led to hosting over 100 people over the course of a year in my very tiny park slope apartment for elaborate dinner parties via a brooklyn-based supper club. i've never had more fun in my entire life... i made so many beautiful friends and fed so many people. i wish i was a mouse in my own walls!
which brings us to today, to red string collective. this venture is more than hosting cute little events in cute little places. it's a movement to bring us back together after being apart for so long. it's me fulfilling my destiny as an italian nonna at the ripe age of 27. it's for you to find your people and to find your third place.
