1iota and SNL are hosting a free pop up event this weekend where you get to take center stage and see what it would be like to host SNL. You can find tickets for this event from 1iota and I’m unsure if they are taking walk-ins. This was a really fun walk through experience primarily for photo ops and to see props from SNL. What I didn’t really realize was that it’s an entirely fabricated set and experience. I don’t know why I assumed it’d be in 30 Rock and similar to the studio tour they do but it’s good to go in realizing this is fully made as a pop up event. They take you through a number of scenes and photo ops reminiscent of actual SNL skits. The other main thing id keep in mind is to manage your expectations of time. My ticket was for the 2pm slot I believe(?) but I could check in as early as 1:30. You wanna get there the moment you’re allowed to check in. It advertises that the event is 20-30 minutes and that is definitely true… but I had to wait over an hour from my designated start to get into the event. I arrived at 1:30 and I was not actually going through the pop up until 3 at the earliest. They do coat check tho which is nice (bags have to be held tho so pack light). If you like free stuff, they give out a glass of champagne (if you’re 21+) as well as a branded tote with a water bottle and a pin inside upon leaving the experience which was rly nice. I wish I brought a friend because a lot of the photo ops benefited from having a duo but it was so fun even solo!...More

If you have the 1iota tix, don't miss out on this pop-up experience that SNL curated! I had tickets for 1pm, and was there for over an hour. Waiting in line took about half an hour in itself, which isn't bad for 1iota. I feel like their events have people in line for sooo long. Anyways, the staff was so friendly and high energy it felt like we were actually backstage about to host SNL! Tickets are "sold out" via 1iota, and I don't think they are taking stand-by anymore. Checking in was good, but expect to stand a lot in lines. The whole thing was fast-paced and back to back picture opportunities. You're placed in a group of 6 and are transitioned to about 6+ different rooms. Coat check is free but you carry your own bags/purses. At the end they give you a bunch of free stuff, and there's a free shirt if you respond to a survey! I recommend this if you have time in your day and have the tickets already. We got so many photo ops and the free stuff is worth it! If you're a big fan, props from the show and the photos are everywhere to take pics of and admire. Don't miss out!!...More

⭐️ I was lucky enough to get tickets to the SNL 50 Experience, which started Thursday (Jan 30) and runs until today (Sunday, Feb 2). I went Saturday, Feb 1, with a friend. Ngl I don’t watch a lot of SNL and see clips here and there on social media but was still really excited for this pop event! 💭 IMO, it seemed better the first couple days just based on what people were posting. Better experience and less rushed. People were able to do solo shots even though they went with a friend. On Saturday, it felt extremelyyy rushed. We weren’t given the option to take solo headshots or do the entrance solo. And it didn’t particularly seem like we didn’t have time to because we still had to wait between activities. Not sure if it was just my group leader or if it was like that for everyone Saturday. It was still fun though, and they really played into the ~you are the host~ once you were downstairs. 📝 Tips: •Check the address before you go! It’s at a different location, not at the actual studio. •You cannot join the line until your entire party has arrived. •If you’re solo, listen for them to call for solo people so you can skip the line! •Keep your QR code on hand when you’re in line to go downstairs. If Sunday is like Saturday, you’ll only need one QR code per pair. They rush you at coat check so you don’t have a lot of time to find it if you put it away. •Think of your entrance walk with your pair partner while you’re waiting in line upstairs so it isn’t awkward when the time comes lol. •Other reviewers have shared the free t-shirt with survey completion - sadly they ran out of t-shirts so only complete the survey if you want to, but you won’t be getting anything from doing it. 🎟️ Tickets are [essentially] REQUIRED. Limited standby available. 📍 10 W 51st St, NY, NY 10111 Come from 6th Ave and just hop in line as you walk up. 🕰️ 1/30/25-2/2/2025 Last ticket entry time is at 8pm today (Sunday)....More

I was lucky to get a ticket to the Saturday Night Live popup celebrating 50 years of the show. It was really very well made and organized!! I had to wait in line for about an hour or so. You get to be put in a group of 6 people and as a group go through different experiences. Every scene is being captured by the staff for you and saved digitally so you can download it all after you’re done. We even get to spend some time in Five-Times club with some champagne and donuts. You get to feel like a real SNL host!! At the end, you also get a little goodie bag with SNL water bottle, tote and a pin....More

So cool to get tickets through 1iota for the SNL pop up! Got to take some videos (like the iconic celebrities entering the set) with a friend I brought along. It was such a realistic and immersive theater production experience! They gave us totes, a water bottle, and a pin for visiting ...More
