Tip: You can only go in if you have a 1 day streak and you will only be able to win things if you have at least a 30 day streak, so I wouldn't recommend waiting 90 mins in line if you didn't hit the 30 day goal yet!

Let me start this off by saying, I wasn’t sure I would make it to Duolingo’s pop-up event, especially after hearing about the long lines from Friday and Saturday’s venture, but not only did I make it - I ended up being the very first person in line! That was such an exciting moment for me, and I couldn’t believe my luck. By the time I left, the line had wrapped around the entire block, and it was easy to see why.
Duolingo created a full experience that was worth every minute. The famous owl mascot was there in his adorable duo lingo Crocs, and there were so many cool and unique activities to enjoy. One of the highlights was a giveaway event where you could win a giant owl plushy by maintaining the highest streak within 30 minutes. I was riding that wave of excitement until the very last 10 seconds! SO CLOSE! Even though I didn’t win, it was thrilling to see the winner enjoy their plush. The event also featured amazing exclusive merch that I just had to indulge in, along with fun freebies that added to the excitement. They had t-shirts, jibitz, crocs, gem keychains and of course my all time favorite, the Duo Lingo anatomically correct owl bag!
Overall, it was such an incredible experience, and I’m so glad I got to be a part of it. Plus, making new friends along the way made the day even more special! Definitely made my day!

I got to meet Duo at Duolingo's Streak Society Pop Up at 42 Grand St. Since I kept up my streak in Spanish, I didn't vanish.
From Friday to Sunday, if you have at least one streak, you'll be able to enter in the pop up and meet Duo. If you have a 30 day streak, you'll be able to play a claw game to win a plush. Merch is also available for purchase....More
