Had the loveliest hike up to whiteface. The trail to get to the top of the mountain is less than a mile long; As a pretty unatheltic/out of shape girlie, I was fine, so it’s definitely beginner friendly. Just be warned that the hike consists of stepping over big bolders so try to avoid going when it’s raining because the rocks get super slippery. I would recommend wearing shoes with good grip so you have some traction to keep you stable.
PS: whiteface is a little over five hours from the city so maybe do an overnight to avoid driving so much in one day ...More

Whiteface mountain is a 5-6 hour drive upstate but a really nice place to ski and snowboard! It snowed a lot this weekend which made everything nice and powdery, and there’s a lot of different trails to do at every level! There’s a separate section for beginners so you have a lot of space to learn :)...More
