Currently posting this from the beach! My brother and I took the SeaStreak from Pier 11 and it was a great 30 minute ride! The fort is super cool to explore and we’ll be touring the lighthouse later and I’m really looking forward to it!
However, I felt I needed to give a quick warning to anyone headed here to go to the beach. What my little brother and I didn’t know was that Gunnison Beach is clothing optional. I have seen entirely too many naked old men today and thus, we turned around and went to North Beach. However, the maps haven’t been updated and we learned that you aren’t allowed to swim at this beach. It’s still gorgeous but the signs aren’t up to date until you actually arrive at the beach itself.
No judgement to anyone who enjoys a nude beach but I figured I’d give a heads up just in case, since it’s not a fun thing to be surprised with if you aren’t expecting it. ...More

If you’re looking for a peaceful, beginner-friendly place to roller skate, Sandy Hook is a hidden gem. I usually start at Lot C and skate the paved trail up to Fort Hancock and back which is about a 6-mile loop with gorgeous views of the ocean and no steep hills
The path is smooth and safe, with no cars except at a few easy crosswalks, making it perfect for beginner skaters or anyone looking for a relaxing ride ✨
One of my favorite parts is packing a picnic and making a full day out of it! There are beach spots along the way for a scenic snack break, and even a grill area if you’re planning to cook out 🧺
Between the ocean breeze, sunset views, and the chance to spot deer and other wildlife, it’s the kind of trail that feels like a little escape every time 🦌🌊
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a laid back afternoon on wheels!...More
