If you’re looking to really get into camping and leave the world behind for a little, maybe check out Loyalsock.
When I say this place is out in the middle of nowhere, I mean it. Once we got out of Laporte and headed to the more rural areas, we lost all cell service. So you definitely had to reconnect with nature 🌲 rather than rely on the internet for entertainment.
There’s tons of flora and fauna to check out while you’re exploring the area. I’d recommend taking a hike and trying to pick any fresh, wild raspberries you spot. So fun and so yummy 😋 I would recommend packing a couple essentials; fishing gear 🎣 and swimming gear. The area is surrounded by gorgeous lakes where you can swim, fish, or both. On one of our last days we decided to check out one bridge that people were jumping off and hanging around. Probably one of the best days we had. Floating in the river, enjoying the weather, it was so peaceful.
The diners out there are also a welcome surprise. Besides the fact that we payed less than $20 for a breakfast for two, the food we got was absolutely delicious.
