Look I think the title can explain where I’m going with this but it’s true. Everyone is always so hype about Long Besch Island (also known as LBI) and don’t get me wrong it has a few things I like. Gorgeous beaches, good food a stunning lighthouse and ‘Chicken or The Egg’
In reality the 5 towns of LBI really only have one bar between them, Bird & Betty’s and that’s about it. The ‘boardwalk’ is small and doesn’t have much to it. There’s only one way on and off the island and that’s the bridge so the traffic is awful.
Unless you have family or friends down there it’s also very cliquey and hard to make new friends in my personal opinion. I’d much rather go to places like Asbury, Avalon, Seaside Park or even Belmar.
I’d recommend this for a family to vacation as a group and organize some experiences on the bay and nice dinners but other than that, there’s really not much going on. ...More

If you’re looking to have some fun in the sun ☀️ this summer, take a day or weekend trip to Long Beach Island in South Jersey
My family has been coming to the island long before I was born. It’s a beautiful island with the best beaches and sunsets. While you do have to purchase a beach badge to lounge on the beach, I definitely think it’s worth it. No matter what you want to do, I’m sure there’s something on the island for you

Hey guys!☺️ We took a trip last week to Long Beach Island, so let’s kick off the series!😎
First up is @kubelsbarnegatlight in Barnegat Light!📍 First off, we loved where they were located in LBI. You look One direction and you’re looking straight at Barnegat lighthouse!🤯 Look a little to your left and you have one of the best ocean views on the island!🌊
To start off, we had their coconut shrimp, French onion soup, their tremendous lobster roll, some muscles and there famous chum pot!🦞
By the time we were done with appetizers, we were stuffed, but we had to make it to the entrées!😋
For entrees, we got the crab pie, the short rib, their clams and linguine that was as loaded as it gets, the swordfish, and their seafood pot.🔥 The seafood pot was our favorite but everything that we tried was delicious!😋 Next time you are in Long Beach Island @kubelsbarnegatlight is a must!🔥
