Such a great bagel shop run but such a great guy!
You have to stop and get a bagel or a sandwich from Joe in downtown New Providence.
The owner, Joe, is the friendliest nicest guy you’ll ever meet. He really loves working at a bagel shop and just interacting with his customers. My boyfriend and I have integrated Joe’s into our morning routine, Joe is nothing if not appreciative. He quickly learned both of our names and now greets us with a smile and wave when we enter the store. We’re also lucky enough to be blessed with Joe’s generosity every single visit. He’ll almost always throw in a free something ( t-shirt, drink, bagel, cookie, you name it ) Really is just the best guy.
The bagels are what you would expect from a Jersey bagel shop: perfection. Super fluffy and flavorful, always made fresh. Any of the bagel sandwiches are delicious and he has a ton of other deli options on the menu as well. I also want to mention that for a deli, it’s surprisingly neat and clean. You can tell someone cares about the store and the appearance. The cream cheese display alone is a sight to see, it looks like an ice cream bar.
