Raku, located on MacDougal street, has been rated as one of the best udon spots in NYC. This is a very cute restaurant with nice interior so it’s a perfect place to take your date. I took my boyfriend here for Valentine’s Day 💛 we ordered karage, curry udon, and tempura udon. The chicken is fried fresh so it’s piping hot but really juicy and tasty. The udon came out extremely hot too so we had to eat it very slowly. The broth in both bowls were super rich and made very well, but the star of the show were the noodles! They have a hand made texture that you can tell is bouncier and way better than the frozen udon. If you haven’t tried this spot you should since it’s very high quality and everyone I know loves it so much! It is pricey though - came out to around $80. Rating 8/10 🍜 Amazing quality, expensive, food temperature is extremely hot, good date spot ...More

little udon restaurant in the heart of west village, it was a lovely tasty experience! the restaurant and atmosphere was really warm and welcoming! their menu is a little bit more on the pricier side, but it was a nice way to have a once in a while “splurge” with friends. ☺️ (my friend and i tried caviar for the first time which was pretty cool!) i tried the “sansai bukkake” cold vegetarian udon, it was really flavorful and also filling. their interior is warm and subtle, with dainty decor and pottery, focusing on the minimalistic wooden designs in Japanese architecture. it truly felt like I was in a little family udon shop in japan :) 🫶🏿 perfect for summery nights in the rain, yummy udon or hangout with friends! hope you can go visit 🤍 #nyc #westvillage #restaurants #noodles #udon #food...More
