This was a halal restaurant with the option of doing hotpot. It was really good, but be warned—order small amounts of the food because we definitely ordered too much. I’d recommend the fatty beef slices and the lamb in terms of meet option. You can ask for fully spicy soup base and definitely as for sauces—but I honestly only really liked the sesame oil and the chili oil. Definitely will be coming back!! Keep in mind that you should call ahead and reserve, especially if you’re planning on going during a holiday or weekend. We also spent about $130 for two people and we ordered a LOT of food. There’s also a $50 minimum for the hotpot. Address: 65 St. Marks Place, New York, NY 10003...More

Jiang’s Kitchen Halal Chinese, located in Manhattan’s Lower East Side (LES), is a fantastic spot for halal food enthusiasts and Chinese cuisine lovers alike. I went there with a friend and tried a variety of dishes, starting with Sizzling Rice with Cumin Shrimp, Hot and Sour Cold Cucumbers, Steamed Lamb Shumai, and Steamed Beef Shumai as appetizers. For the main dishes, we had the Sautéed Hand Roll Noodles with Chicken and Beef and the Sautéed Rice Noodle with Beef. The food was really good overall, though the noodles were a bit too salty for my taste. Despite that, I’d still rate this place an 8.5/10, considering it’s halal, offers authentic flavors, and has a spacious dining area. It’s a perfect spot for sharing a delicious meal with friends, and I’d definitely love to go back!...More
