Konban was a miraculous experience for my palate. The katsu was perfectly seasoned, the tuna so fatty it melted on my tongue, and the mackerel was practically the size of my face. The vibes? Immaculate. As someone who’s been to Japan, this surpassed all expectations—it felt more like Tokyo than tucked-away NYC.
It’s definitely a treat-yourself price point, not your average weekday dinner, but absolutely worth it. The entrance is inconspicuous, hidden between two buildings, so blink and you’ll miss it… and honestly, I hope you do. Y’all better not blow up my spot 😅
