On a cold winter NYC day, nothing hits the spot like a Chinese noodle soup. The recently renovated Tang Dynasty specializes in handmade noodles paired with rich and flavorful broths that have been simmering for hours. Their specialty is the Braised Beef Noodle Soup, which is a solid take on the Taiwanese classic which was amazing. We also tried their Oxtail Beef Noodle Soup and their Lamb Noodle Soup. Oxtail was fork tender and the broth was to die for. Packed with flavor and paired perfectly with the radish. Not always easy find oxtail and they hit it perfectly. 10/10!
Lamb noodle soup was also phenomenal with the right amount of richness and natural creaminess from the lamb bone broth that you’d expect.
Price was on point, about $20 per bowl of noodles. Totally reasonable considering what people pay for ramen. An oxtail broth simmered for 6 hours certainly warrants this. Ambiance was cute, bathroom was clean, and even the KPOP playlist was on point!
