I was able to go into the NYT building and was given a tour by a friend who works there, it was so interesting to see all the memorabilia! They have museum room where you learn how they made the first newspapers to how they make them now, and even had a copy of the first print.
Do you know why Times Square is called Times Square?
Because the NYT moved their office there! (I feel like I should have known that but I definitely didn’t)
ALSO the newspaper also started the tradition of the ball dropping on NYE!
The NYT used to give tours to the public but you might need to know someone now - sadly my friend just moved away but I would definitely recommend trying to get an invite inside! ...More
