My friend and I are constantly on the hunt for good Indian food!! (If you have suggestions PLEASE let me know too, we are trying all places we can one by one to rate what we like best 🥹) We heard a lot about Drunken Monkey both in terms of the food as well as drinks! I would give it a 3.5/5 overall! I love how cozy and intimate the restaurant was!! The service was lovely and the staff were attentive and kind! The food was pretty good but the portions were a little smaller and I think I’m used to more flavour in some dishes as well! This is “Anglo Indian” so that is understandably why but the food was all still really delicious and left us full and happy!! They also gave us complimentary naan bites at the beginning which were delicious! I’m curious to try some of their “chef specials” which included punjabi chicken as well.. so I think I may be back to try more on their menu! I would personally recommend their chicken biryani. It came with a side of raita, onions and is in the style of “parda biryani” which is cooked in a naan clay pot! It was good food but not the best I’ve had so far. I will go back again to try some of their other dishes and their drinks too! They seem to have a huge collection of cocktails and a good happy hour menu as well!...More

The Drunkey Monkey is such a cosy bar atmosphere suitable for those who want to try some cocktails while getting to eat Indian food. Bonus points for the extra naan that arrived - this place is a great choice for this time of year when it is a bit colder out. ...More

Stopped by The Drunken Monkey on the UES, and it was such a great find! The vibe is super chill, with friendly staff and a neighborhood feel that makes you want to stay a while. It’s the perfect spot for good food and a laid-back night. I tried their masala, and it was amazing—packed with bold flavors and just the right amount of spice. The biryani was a standout too, with perfectly cooked rice, tender meat, and spices that hit all the right notes. Both dishes were super satisfying and way better than your average bar food. If you’re looking for a spot with great food and a fun, relaxed atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be back for more of that biryani!...More
