The popular Brooklyn Uzbek supermarket, Tashkent, just opened in the West Village and the hot food bar is insane!!! They have tons of grab and go options from noodle salads, to (delicious!!) halal, to oven baked fish, to golumpki, to crepe cakes — it’s honestly amazing!
I had a combo halal plate with everything and it was honestly some of the best halal I’ve had in manhattan. Slightly crispy on the edges, super fresh salad and veggies, and the sauces are both delicious.
There’s also the traditional grocery store aspect, they have milk, meats, breads, produce, etc!
Totally recommend stopping in if you need a quick bite in the area! ...More
