South Florida Guide
You can find a mix of traditional and non-traditional food at Southwest Ranches Farmers Market located in Broward County, Florida.
They had farm fresh eggs, raw milks and yogurts, produce that looked way better than what I’ve seen at Publix, jams, jellies, wild caught seafood, meats including ground bison and bison steaks (yum), and paletas. All of their meat is 100% grass-fed and grass-finished.
I seriously don’t understand the whole raw milk thing, but they do have it here! I arrived early on a Saturday morning and they only had, like, five left in the fridge. By the time I was leaving, the market was getting busy.
I find it interesting they also sell raw milk ice creams, including raw buffalo milk ice cream (pictured). It’s, like, $16.50 for a pint.
I purchased a homemade key lime pie for like $19 made by Martha N Gary’s Key Lime Pies. Gary gave me a free sample, and it was delicious.
I also stopped by a Yemeni coffee truck next door, Haute Coffee. My partner got some kind of hazelnut iced coffee. The coffee truck had the most delicious flavors, and the trendy pastries looked incredible. Perhaps next time we’ll try one of their Dalgonas (Korean sweet treats).
I recommend this farmers market and would probably go again. Maybe not for raw milk, though.

A dalgona is a sweet coffee. This drink is Korean in origin. My partner and I tried one from the Haute coffee truck in Southwest Ranches, Florida. We enjoyed it, but might stick to a different coffee next time because the total was around $10.50 and we didn’t think it was that special for what it cost. Haute coffee has lots of delicious options to choose from. Pastries, too.
One thing that surprised us is this coffee truck opens at 8am, which is a full hour before the farmers market.
